It’s Mercury Retrograde time again! Lost keys, dysfunctional cell phones, missed appointments, and all that jazz. You all know by now that I say these things somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but then again, I really do see copious evidence of Mercury Retrograde every time it happens. We went into the Shadow, or lead in phase of this retrograde cycle back around July 26th or so. August 9th at 5:32pm PDT was the actually event. Mercury will continue to retrograde until September 2nd at 6:09am, but the influence will hang on until around September 15th. The most crucial period lasts from now through a day or so after September 6th. Here are a few tips that can help you make Mercury Lemonade out of Retrograde Lemons:
New Moon in Leo, Sunday August 15th at 6:24pm PDT New Moons are great days to spent time alone, or doing things that are quiet, like meditation. It’s a time to get centered, achieve clarity, and plant seeds for things you would like to see manifest by the next Full Moon, which will fall on Sunday, August 29th at 7:22pm in the sign of Pisces. Doing some personal ritual to honor the cycles of the Moon is both enjoyable and can help you to focus planetary energies into your own vibration. The energy of New Moons and Full Moons is unique and distinctive. This energy has it’s uses and can be just the spark plug you need to open up your creativity and power your intentions. The Leo New Moon could help you plant seeds for more personal pride, creativity, happiness with your children, and romance. On the day of the New Moon create a “Wish List” about some of things you would like to manifest. For example, let’s say you want to spend more quality time with your kids. Think of some creative and unusual things you and your kids could do together and plan them into your schedule. It could be something like hosting a mother/daughter tea party, signing up for a kayaking workshop with your teens, or taking up finger-painting for an afternoon with your 5-year-old. If you’ve been feeling stressed and a little down about your appearance, make plans for a makeover. If your living room has been needing a makeover too, think about an energizing new color scheme and plan to paint. If you haven’t enjoyed a live concert in over 6 months, plan to find something to attend before or around the Full Moon and get your tickets. If you haven’t had a date in over 2 years, make plans to join a dating service or go to a singles event. Remember, the Leo New Moon could be great to empower and help you manifest things having to do with Romance, Creativity, Self-Expression, and Children. That doesn’t mean your “Wish List” must be confined to those subjects, but it always helps to be specific. These are just a few fun ideas. I’m sure you’ll come up with lots more if you let your imagination go. Have fun with it. Light a candle and put some intentions out there. Make the commitments and follow through. The Universe does not generally reward flakes. On the days leading up to the Pisces Full Moon on 8/29 you will want to focus your attention of asking the Universe to bring you the gifts Pisces. Pisces is the patron saint of artist, healers, and spiritual seekers. Doing things around the Full Moon that relate to these areas is a brilliant idea. Asking the Moon Goddess for the blessing of healing, increased creativity, compassion, and intuitive guidance will be appropriate for the Pisces Moon. You could also use the energy of the Pisces Full Moon as a starting point to release an addiction, such as smoking or drinking. Doing a ritual candle lighting around the time of the Full Moon will help focus your intention. I always like to put some thought down in writing and mediate on the Full Moon to get into the energy. I’ll be sending out another Newsletter soon. Fall Equinox is coming up and I’ll be updating you about what to expect in the new cycle. I’ll do an update about the election around that time as well. Enjoy the rest of your summer. I’m available for readings at my Cardiff Office. If you need me give me a call at 760-634-1028. Many Blessings! Love Victoria
