Hollywood's Most Romantic Couples
On February 14, 2004 Victoria will be featured on an US Magazine Special titled: Hollywood's Most Romantic Couples, on the Family Channel
These are the notes for Victoria's show, with her insights on the celebrities and their relationships. Enjoy!
Astrology and Relationships
Astrology can reveal a lot about an individual's basic nature and potential. It can also give powerful insight into the potential of a relationship. Celebrities are just like people too. They have their strong points and their weak points. But when it comes to relationships and marriage, they are in a different world. Even the most stable personalities in tinsel town are tempted, pushed, and pulled by extraordinary forces and pressures that most mere mortals will never encounter. So, what kinds of astrological "connections" can lead to lasting love in Hollywood? Let's take a look.
Gwenyth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Libra and Pisces: The Princess and the Dreamer
Gwenyth Paltrow is an airy Libra with a Gemini Moon. Libra is the sign of beauty and grace and Gwenyth certainly epitomizes these traits. Libras are very relationship oriented and really someone to share with. Libras also tend to be idealistic perfectionists. They don't like to deal with the down and dirty side of reality; they want to create their own perfect world. She is very romantic and creative, but in a more intellectual way. Her Sun/Pluto conjunction makes her quietly powerful, intense, and in control. She has been going through a lot of big changes, some difficulty, and restructuring of attitudes over the last couple of years. She is changing her sense of self and is not finished yet with her transformation. Gwenyth is very driven and this quality may get in the way of her relationship with Chris Martin, who relies more on his intuition than his will.
Chris Martin is a watery, emotional, creative Pisces with some lively energetic fire signs, Aries and Leo in his chart. Pisces are really out their, super sensitive, creative, and sometimes psychic. They definitely live in their own worlds, the world of imagination and dreams. Their dreamy optimism is a bit messy compared to the lofty perfection the Libra attempts to create. If, by chance Chris and Gwenyth are dreaming the same dream things will go well. Chris might not be grounded enough to work towards the same goals Gwenyth has in mind. He is an emotionally driven person, tends to go with the flow, and can be a bit of a dreamer. Eventually, Chris may find Gwenyth's lack of emotion, desire for control, and perfectionism a bit daunting. He will go along with most of what she wants, but eventually might detach and go off into his own world, which could break this relationship up in a few years if they don't really work to find common ground.
The Pros:
Both are in love with love, idealistic, and creative, and relationship
oriented.
The Down Side: Chris might be a little too passive to keep Gwenyth's
attention forever. Gwenyth is a bit controlling, Chris is very idealistic
and super romantic. When her spell wears off, Chris may feel he has
compromised too much, although Pisces are good at being what people
want them to be. Gwenyth can be a little bit of an Ice Queen, which
eventually could break Chris'

Gwenyth Paltrow and Brad Pitt, Libra and Sagittarius, What Went Wrong?
Gwenyth Paltrow is an airy, artsy, beautiful Libra with Moon in lively Gemini, and Venus, the planet of love in fiery, expressive Leo. All of her main signs are a match with Brad Pitt's fiery, adventurous Sagittarius Sun. So what went wrong? Gwenyth's Sun/Pluto/Mars line-up make her a rather intense and somewhat controlling person. She is exacting and wants things "just so". Brad has 4 planets in the sign of Capricorn, which is a "no win" situation when paired up with Gwenyth's 4 planets in Libra. Gwenyth probably found Brad to be too spontaneous and cavalier at times, too headstrong and maybe a bit too down-to-earth or even "low brow" for her refined tastes. Brad probably found that Gwenyth was not that easy to please; very particular about things he didn't feel were important, and just a little too uptight for his life-style. There was lots of attraction here, but none of the real, day-to-day kind of "glue" that really keeps the love light burning.

Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, Scorpio and Virgo, Something to Prove, Lessons to Learn
Trista Rehn is a deep, powerful, emotional Scorpio woman, with lots of Libra, the sign of balance and beauty in her chart as well. Trista has not found a lot of satisfaction in her emotional life to date. In fact, she an emotional wound that keeps driving her to find something more in life. Although she can come off as a down-to-earth kind of gal, her Mercury/Neptune conjunction tells me that she is sometimes dreamy, idealistic, and not always very realistic when it comes to her choices. Many things will propel Trista forward over the next couple of years, but the reality check she's getting during 2004 may be more than she bargained for.
Ryan Sutter is an earthy, physical, practical Virgo. Virgo and Scorpio, Trista's sign, are actually a natural match. Ryan has strong will power and a need for adventure, and attention. There is more to him than meets the eye, and he even may have a temper underneath his sweet demeanor. These two have some strong compatibility, but by summer of 2004 Ryan will experience a time of frustration and big life lessons they will stress the relationship in a big way. Summer of 2004 will be the test for this relationship. Ryan will be looking at his life in a very different way, and won't want to give up on his own dreams. If he feels he has made too many compromises to be with Trista, it will make him depressed and frustrated and his could put the marriage on the rocks.
The Pros:
Their Sun Signs are a natural match. There is good, basic compatibility.
The Down Side: Reality will hit both of them hard this coming year.
Ryan's career goals and life style preferences might not really fit
with Trista's.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Scorpio and Aquarius: I Want What I Want meets I Want To Be Me
Demi Moore is one strong and sexy Scorpio woman. She has four planets in this powerful, mysterious, watery sign. She is optimistic, creative, and has tons of sex appeal. Like many Scorpio's, Demi really needs to be in charge and has extremely strong will power. She wants what she wants and will not stop until she gets it. She is deep, loving, and very attached to her children. Scorpios have a hard time letting go of the past, and Demi's relationship with Pisces Bruce Willis is a strong connection that she will never truly walk away from. Obviously, this could get in the way of her romance with Ashton. I wouldn't be surprised if Bruce and Demi got back together one day. Demi has been feeling somewhat restricted emotionally and the new energy she is experiencing with Ashton is charging her up right now, but Scorpio and Aquarius, Ashton's sign, is not exactly a natural match. They have some things in common, but it's the differences that really stand out, and couples who are more opposite in nature tend to lack longevity.
Ashton Kutcher has just as much Aquarius in his chart as Demi has Scorpio. Aquarius is an airy, intellectual, social sign. Aquarians love their freedom, want to be controversial, and need to do their own thing. Ashton's "dare to be different" personality is energized by the controversy of the romance with older woman Demi, but this relationship will have a hard time enduring, not just because of their ages, but because their temperaments are fundamentally so different. Once the novelty wears off, Ashton's desire for freedom and Demi's need for control will collide and the two will split. Ashton will not have a lot of "realty" in his relationship world for many year, as transiting Neptune in Aquarius will be a strong influence on him for many years. He has a chance to go into some bold new directions in his career, but once again, his choices will be less rational, and more dreamy regarding his work. Ashton will need someone around him to give him a "reality check" over the next few years. Demi could do that for him, but I doubt the two will stay connected that long.
The Pros:
These two are mutually beneficial to one another and they are fascinated
by each other's company. They are a sexy match.
The Down Side: They don't have what it takes for the long haul.

Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan, Aries and Sagittarius: Fire Sign Romance or Fire Sign Burnout?
Jennifer Garner is a fiery, strong-willed Aries. She has lots of spark and great sex appeal. She likes a challenge, but can lose interest in a relationship quickly if there is no spark. She wants what she wants and knows how to get it. Aries tend to be impulsive when it comes to romance, which leads to regrets and break-ups later, when reality sets in. You can't tell this gal what to do, so she needs someone who will let her take the lead and give her a lot of attention. She has tons of airy Gemini in her chart, which makes her lively, smart, witty, and charming, but Jennifer can be quite fickle in her affections. Gemini in her chart keeps her hungry for change and new experiences, so the grass is always greener somewhere else. She gets bored easy, so any love interest has to keep her entertained, or all bets are off. Jennifer's career goals are important to her, maybe more so than her emotional life. She will experience a few set backs over the next year and a have, and then she'll be moving forward fast. She has a more dominant personality than co-star Michael Vartan.
Michael Vartan is a Sagittarius, also a fire sign, and a natural match to Jennifer's sign, Aries. Sagittarius is fun-loving, adventurous, and high-spirited, which is attractive to Jennifer's for high-energy romance. But Michael has the water signs Scorpio and Pisces in his chart. This makes him a lot more romantic, inward, moody, and emotional, which might make these two less compatible, ultimately. Michael might feel that Jennifer is too competitive with him, and Jennifer may inadvertently step on his toes a lot in the emotional area. These two definitely have some chemistry, but it is not a match I expect much from in the long run.
The Pros:
Two Fire Signs will make for lots of excitement, on and off the camera,
for a while.
The Cons: These two might not have enough similarity to stick it out
for the long haul.

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, Cancer and Libra: An Ocean of Emotion is Left High and Dry
Pamela Anderson is a sensitive, moody, emotional Cancer. Her chart is conflicted by a Sun/Saturn square: Pamela is very insecure, and although she has powerful determination to prove her worth, secretly, she feels she just doesn't measure up. Her inner insecurity leads her to stay in relationships that truly do not meet her emotional needs.
Tommy Lee is a Libra, and although he is creative and romantic, he is more mental than emotional. He and Pamela are a round peg and a square hole. Although these two are attracted to one another, on a deep level, their needs as individuals are diametrically opposed. Neither has what the other really needs.
Couples Rating. *
Drew Barrymore and Fabrizio Morietti, Pisces and Gemini, The Space Kitten and the Trickster.
Drew Barrymore is a classic watery, imaginative, sensitive, dreamy Pisces. She is very emotionally driven. She has a Moon/Saturn connection in her chart, which indicates that underneath it all, she is very serious and has experienced some big emotional let downs. She really wants and needs love in her life, but sometimes she's afraid she's never going to get it. Drew's life will be a complete roller coaster ride during the next year, with Uranus in Pisces bringing in new and unexpected opportunities and surprises. She won't want anything to hold her back. She's in her Saturn return now until Summer of 2004, another indication of big changes, major life lessons, and a big reality check for Drew. These two factors will stress any relationships that aren't rock solid. Fabrizio Morietti is a lively, witty, quick-moving Gemini. Gemini and Pisces are not a natural match, but Drew's rising sign, or personality angle is also Gemini, which helps these two a lot. Fabrizio also has some water, emotional Cancer in his chart, which helps him to understand where Drew is coming from. These two are very attracted to one another, but Drew's life is changing so much this year, it's hard to see where she is going to land.

Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson, Aries and Sagittarius, Fire, Fire, Fire.
Kate Hudson is an individualistic, headstrong Aries. With Venus in Pisces, she's attracted to romance and creativity, and has her own quirky sense of style. She wants to be her own person and doesn't want to conform to what other's think she should be. She has a Sun/Moon square in her chart, so at times she can be insecure and conflicted, but she is nevertheless, very determined. Her Sun Sign at the cusp of Aries and Taurus is an exact trine, or perfect match with husband Chris Robinson, who is right on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Both have lots of fire in their charts, and Chris has an Aries Moon, which means the woman of his dreams would be an Aries. They could have a very compatible marriage, overall, but not without some drama, as fire signs just can't help themselves when it comes to drama. If this one fails, it will be Kate that calls it quits. The next year and a half will be telling.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, Libra and Libra: Two Peas
in a Pod
Catherine Zeta-Jones is a Libra, like Gwenyth Paltrow, and certainly is an icon of feminine beauty. She has a wild side, with a Sun/Uranus conjunction in her natal chart. She's strong, craves excitement, and wants to be in charge. Michael Douglas is a Libra of a different sort, with a Sun/Neptune conjunction in his birth chart; he's more sensitive and emotional. This combo will work because Michael will give in to Catherine's whims and they have similar likes and dislikes. If it fails it will be because feisty Catherine gets bored with Michael.

Harrison Ford and Callista Flockhart, Cancer and Scorpio: Still Water Runs Deep
Harrison Ford is a watery, emotional Cancer with Moon in Cancer and Libra rising. He's definitely a relationship-oriented guy. The break-up of his marriage hasn't been an easy one, but Harrison is ready for a complete change. He won't really be feeling back to normal for another year or so. His fellow water sign, Scorpio Callista Flockhart is almost a perfect match for him. She is creative, imaginative, quirky, dreamy, and self-sacrificing. She's willing to be patient and stand by while Harrison regains his emotional equilibrium. These two have tons of compatibility and could make a go of it. Any rockiness here will come from pressure Harrison experiences during 2004.

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder, Scorpio and Aquarius: Julia's Addicted to Love...
Julia Roberts is a strong, sexy, smart, and savvy Scorpio. She's got it together in every area, except perhaps the romance department. Julia has a Venus/Pluto contact in her chart that gives her powerful, obsessive emotions. When she thinks she's in love, she has blinders on and only sees one thing. Later, when reality hits, she's sometimes disillusioned with her choices. She's a very emotional lady and needs someone who is strong, stable, mature, and reliable. Danny Moder is an Aquarius, and Scorpio and Aquarius are not a natural match, but Moder has many planets in water signs, symbolizing emotional sensitivity. This is a big plus for his marriage to Julia. He has been swept away by the fantasy image of this relationship and may find that reality has a bit of a sting if things start getting more challenging for the couple due to Julia's schedule demands. These two will have to work hard to keep this marriage going.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, Libra and Virgo
Will Smith is a creative, likeable, funny, Libra, with a wild Sun/Uranus contact that makes him a unique individual who likes to do things his own way. This helps him stand out in a crowd, most definitely. His Scorpio Moon give him some depth and seriousness. Jada is very Virgo, earthy, a perfectionist, physical, and practical. Jada has a strong Venus/Pluto contact in her chart, which means she is loyal and loves deeply and completely. She might be a little more particular and uptight than Will. These two share many signs in common in their charts and are a good match. If I were looking for a problem, I might be wondering what secrets Will might be hiding from Jada, with his mysterious Scorpio Moon.

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Cancer and Scorpio
Jessica Simpson is a sensitive, creative, emotional Cancer. Cancers love deeply and have a great need for closeness and connection. Her Moon and Venus are in Gemini, however, so she can change her mind about things. Nick Lachey is a Scorpio, another emotional water sign, and a really good match for Cancer. These two are really compatible. The only problem, Jessica is probably too young and will likely begin to feel restricted and frustrated by being married too early. Nick might tend to be a little too controlling for her as well. This relationship will come to a head next summer. If they make it past August 2004, they may have a chance.

Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal, Taurus and Sagittarius
Kirsten Dunst is a strong, sensual, earthy Taurus. Her Moon Sign is Leo, which makes her super talented. Taurus, Leo combinations are also extremely stubborn and willful. Her Pisces Venus does help round her out, making her romantic, creative, and very giving. Jake Gyllenhaal is a fiery, adventurous Sagittarius. He has a strong Sun/Neptune conjunction in his birth chart, making him creative and a little bit spacey. I don't see Taurus and Sagittarius as a really good match. Ultimately, these two have more differences than similarities.

Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, Taurus and Gemini
Carmen Electra is and earthy, physical, sensual Taurus with a "put me in the spotlight" Leo Moon. She also has lots of airy, lively Gemini in her chart, keeping her moving and full of fun. Dave Narvarro is a Gemini Sun and Moon, with Venus and Jupiter in Leo, making him lively, creative, and bold. Normally, Taurus and Gemini is not my favorite combo of Sun Signs, but theses two have many strong compatibility points. They are actually a really good match and have what it takes to stay together for a long time, in Hollywood terms. They probably have loads of fun together.

Orlando Bloom and Kate Bosworth, Capricorn and Capricorn
Orlando Bloom is a super ambitious, serious Capricorn with a lot of drive and intelligence that will lead him to new career heights. The Scorpio in his chart gives him depth, charisma, and sex appeal. He is also sensitive and artistic, with Venus in Pisces. Kate Bosworth is also a savvy Capricorn, but she does not have much water, or emotional energy in her chart. These two have some common ground, but might lack the kind of emotional connection that will help them stay together. Their ambition and career goals might end up a conflict as well. I don't think their timing is great for a long lasting marriage. The next year will be rough on them, with Saturn in Cancer affecting both of their charts, making them feel frustrated and restricted, both at the same time.

Mandy Moore and Andy Roddick, Aries and Virgo
Mandy Moore is a vivacious Aries gal, impulsive, sexy, and strong-willed. Her Leo Moon will keep her in the spotlight. She craves attention and has a hard time being "settled down". Andy Roddick is a work-minded, controlled Virgo with a business-like, "I'm the boss" Capricorn Moon. The one thing in his chart that really messes with Mandy is his Venus in Leo. Other than that, these two are much more different than they are similar. They might not have enough glue to keep things together for long. Mandy would likely find Andy too serious and not exciting enough to keep her interest for the long haul. This will not be an easy match.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, Capricorn and Capricorn
Tiger Woods is a focused, ambitious, controlled, "in charge" Capricorn. He has Virgo rising, which makes him a perfectionist in everything he does. His Moon in Sagittarius brings more sparkle and fun to his mostly serious personality and gives him a love of travel and change and lots of crowd appeal. Tiger has a strong Moon/Mars contact in his chart, making relationships rather difficult for him. During the next couple of years there will be emotional strife in his life with Pluto affecting his Moon. This can mean dramatic endings in relationships. Elin Nordegren is also a Capricorn, with lots of Virgo in her chart. This gives the couple some similarities that could be helpful. But Elin is not exactlly seeing the relationship realistically right now. She could be in her own dream world, and when she starts to wake up over the next year, she might not like what she sees. This relationship will have lots of initial challenges that could be daunting.
